Life into Legacy

On 26th May 2023, Ryan Corken sadly lost his life following a tragic car accident. His loss was felt far and wide, as his 29 years on this planet were well spent and he made an impact wherever he went.

On the day of his funeral, there were many stories shared by his close friends, and family about the man he was, and sharing their fondest and funniest memories of the much loved, well travelled man.

The common themes of Ryan’s life that shone through these stories, were of generosity and kindness to everyone around him - from those closest to him to the stranger living close by; all felt the warmth of his thoughtfulness and compassion.

Since 2022, we have made a concious effort to support the wider community of Comber , through thr provision of our family support service and providing emergency support for those in crisis situations.

With the cost of living crisis, family separation, divorce, bereavement and mental health [ to name a few] we seek to use our resources as generously as we can, being indescriminate in our kindness, and abundant in our giving…qualities we know and have since heard, that Ryan possessed in abundance, to his family, friends, and to anyone who ever had the pleasure to be in his company.

It is our hope that through the continued support of The Ryan Corken Memorial Fund, that the community will know:

that they matter
that they are seen
peace, refief and hope in their circumstances
will hear the story of a young man who inspired a response to those in need, and will never be forgotten.
